Celebration on Sterling Community Garden
COME GROW WITH US
On Earth Day, April 22, 2007, we dedicated our community garden. Today, 11 years later, we're still "growing" strong.
Insect Identification in the Garden
Next Saturday, July 27th, at 8:30 a.m. the Community Garden will hold a free insect identification class with "hands-on" teaching experience! Attendees will visit the St. Paul Community Garden to meet our small friends!
Please dress to be outdoors and walking through a mulched path/turf grass surface.
This class is taught and presented by University of Missouri Horticulture Field Specialist Dr. Tamra Reall, Ph.D. Entomology
Community Garden Plots
Join our community of gardeners at St. Paul Community Garden at 36th Street and Sterling Avenue. A 10' x 20' plot is $20 for the growing season. (First-time gardeners supply an extra $25 deposit that will be returned at the end of the season if fall plot maintenance requirements are met.) Monthly volunteer service at the garden site is required (2 hours.) Our garden uses organic methods (no chemical herbicide, pesticide or fertilizer) and is no-till. Mulching to discourage weeds is highly recommended
